What
are Downloadable Audiobooks?
Downloadable Audiobooks from NetLibrary and Recorded Books are digital versions of audiobooks that are available through the Internet. Audiobooks can be played on any desktop or portable device supporting Windows Media
Player version 9.0 and above. You can also transfer your favorite titles to a wide range of portable devices, including portable music players, portable media centers, Pocket PCs, and even select smartphone devices.
Creating an Account/Logging-in
You
can search and browse for audiobooks and listen to previews in your library. However, to download and listen to audiobooks, you must first create a free NetLibrary account. (You’ll be prompted to do so, when you try to check out an audiobook.)
To create an account, click the link below. Make sure you have your library card ready. You may want to print these instructions before proceeding.
Enter the barcode number from the back of your library card. Note: remove any spaces.
Select the submit button.
Under the heading, "Find a Book", click on the "-netLibrary" link.
In the top left corner of the page, you can click on the link "Create a Free Account". If you have already created an account, you can log in by clicking the "Login" link.
